Media Team members advise the Coalition on media efforts to educate and engage the community in substance abuse prevention. Members represent local media outlets including the Faribault Daily News, Faribault Community TV, Northfield News, Northfield Community TV, Locally Grown, Northfield Hospital, Neuger Communications, College City Beverage and Treadway Graphics, Clearsite Media, Carleton Print Shop, Faribault Print Shop, and Modern Printers. Accomplishments and current projects include the following:
- Designed media campaigns providing age-appropriate information to parents of youth in grades K-5 & 6-12
- Publish stories and columns related to substance abuse prevention.
- Provide opportunities for radio programming focused on substance use and abuse issues.
- Developing and conducting a positive social norms marketing campaign.
- Provide technical assistance to other Coalition efforts to maximize the effectiveness of media and communication efforts.
- Assist in developing media plans to enhance the Coalition’s communications efforts.
